At Brian Roberts Sports Paint, we have been passionate about motorsport from the very beginning, with founder Brian Roberts starting out on his motorcycle racing career in 1974. Riding a Yamaha TZ 250 and then moving to a Yamaha TZ 350, Brian’s most notable achievement was competing in the Manx TT, finishing a credible 12th.
In 1982, Brian moved from two wheels to three. Sidecar racing in the 80s and the early 90s was highly competitive. Aboard his Yamaha TZ 750 Ireson, Brian enjoyed frequent success at club level.
His racing started getting serious when he acquired a big sponsor in the form of Witter Tow Bars. With Witter buying Brian an LCR chassis, his racing moved up a gear! Once fitted to his Yamaha TZ 700 success soon followed, more club wins and podium finishes in the British Championships where he came up against world champions on a regular basis.
